About Us
The Saskatchewan Alliance for Water Sustainability (SAWS) is made up of three community interest groups: Last Mountain Lake Stewardship Group, Calling Lakes Eco Museum and Crooked/Round Lake Flood Committee. We are a group of citizens working together with all concerned residents in and around the Qu’Appelle Valley communities, to sustain and enhance the water quality of Last Mountain Lake, Fishing Lakes, Crooked Lake and Round Lake for present and future generations.
SAWS goals are: to implement long term solutions for the Quill Lake high water levels that will benefit all stake holders; farm producers, lake residents and recreational users; by bringing together a round table discussion involving all levels of government, science and research experts, potash and oil industry and public consultation.
